Cryogentic mill

Introduction: Dual grinding rotors with bidirectional rotation (clockwise and counterclockwise) and a peripheral speed of 250m/s.  (General cryogentic mill rotor speed is 120m/s~150m/s)

Operation process and application scenarios

During operation, the machine will be injected with liquid nitrogen at -196℃ to enable cryogenic grinding. When a substance drops below a certain temperature, it rapidly becomes brittle—a property known as cryogenic brittleness. Leveraging this trait, battery additives that are hard to grind at room temperature (such as phosphorus pentasulfide (P₂S₅), CMC, asphalt, resins, gums, and raw materials with high oil or moisture content) can be easily pulverized. The cryogenic grinding method is widely used across various industries and has made remarkable contributions to industrial development.

Crushing principle

Ultra-low temperature liquid nitrogen is injected during raw material feeding, and the raw material freezes to develop cryogenic brittleness.

The frozen raw material is fed into the cryogenic grinder.

Grinding rotors A and B rotate at high speed in clockwise and counterclockwise directions, doubling the peripheral speed.

Shearing force from pin impact instantly micronizes the raw material, which is discharged immediately.

Centered on the rotating base, its structure has been fully optimized for cryogenic grinding, ensuring stable operation even under harsh ultra-low temperature conditions. Thus, thermoplastic resins, oil-containing foods, and other materials previously difficult to grind at room temperature or even -10℃ can now be crushed stably via the cryogenic brittleness principle enabled by liquid nitrogen.

Beyond the grinder itself, we also offer complete turnkey solutions, including dedicated feeding equipment and cyclone separators, covering end-to-end manufacturing and configuration.
